KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Police have ruled the death of a Kalamazoo Township man who was found in his burned out home to be a homicide.
53-year-old James Travis was found dead inside his home on Shakespeare Avenue around 8:00 p.m. Saturday.
A neighbor reportedly saw smoke coming from the man’s bedroom and discovered him unresponsive and covered in blood. She told WWMT-TV she discovered a diesel fuel container near the body, but Kalamazoo Township police have not confirmed those details.
