Hearth Display is the Key to Distributing Chores in Your Home

Meet your new family control center.

Whether you have adult roommates or children, sending "gentle reminders" via sticky notes or erasable markers to get tasks done around your home can be exhausting—especially if the majority of household chores fall on you. Today, Hearth Display is here to replace your whiteboard for good! At 27-inches, this touch screen display will keep your home in order and your work balance manageable. Founders Mei Lin Ng, Nathalie Stratton, and Susie Harrison blended knowledge on childhood education, education technology, and, of course, digital design to create a beautiful product that enforces workload balance and equitability for women. Your Smart House dreams become a reality (without the malfunctions).

According to Hearth, the company solves "The Mental Load," a concept that encompasses how we gather information from disaggregated sources, anticipate needs and foresee conflict, delegate, track and monitor household tasks, and gain participation from others.

With a background in hardware manufacturing and start-up launches, Ng, the CEO of Hearth Display also brought in her knowledge in childhood education."My experience as a preschool teacher allowed me to better understand children's needs and empathize with young kids, which was crucial to designing a product that's just as much meant for children as it is for parents," she shares.

Harrison, Head of Growth and Marketing explains, "While Hearth Display is all about streamlining family schedule, making housework more equitable for women and addressing The Mental Load, we're also focused on empowering kids to participate in the family organization as a means to develop lifelong skills like independence and decision making."

A central hub for the chores and plans in your household, Hearth Display focuses on task management using a central calendar, routine building to encourage your kids to participate through visualization of information and gamified incentives, and a virtual assistant service to upload invites, appointments and more into the system. Hearth Display is a gift to your home, offering more harmony where there once was tension around cleaning. From washing dishes to taking out the trash, nagging takes a toll on how you are able to enjoy your home. Now, there's an approachable way to skip stepping on eggshells when the laundry isn't folded and even have some fun!

"We have ultimately created a product that considers everyone in the family, from the littlest family members to the parents that manage the day-to-day.," says Stratton, the Head of Product and Engineering. "We were really inspired by speaking with thousands of families to create a product that not only makes family life easier and creates moments of connection but also blends in with the modern home aesthetic."

It's a seamless way to give your child responsibility, share a bit about your day with your partner, and place clear boundaries on your availability (no one will walk into your Zoom meetings again!). The first-of-its-kind gem was tested with various families with different dynamics to analyze what updates and additions to make to the software. Retailing for $499, each order includes a 2-year free subscription. The frame is available in light wood, matte black, or matte white for a neutral, minimalist finish. Installation is very simple with a no-fuss mount system, but Hearth also offers white glove service installation for an additional fee. Today, pre-order the family-approved lifesaver that is sure to bring organization into your home and a moment to breathe from being the household superhero. Your family will be amazed by the power of teamwork!
