Some of the challenges faced by manufacturers in Ogbaru Industrial cluster includes inadequate power supply, bad road network and insecurity.

Ernest Ezeajughi, chief of staff to Anambra State governor made the promise while undertaking a tour of Krisoral Group of Companies’ industrial plant at Ogbaru, recently.

He commended Chris Oranu Chidume, a traditional ruler and chairman of the group, for his prowess in setting up such a mega manufacturing company in the state.

He stated that it is a good thing that the company has taken almost 3,000 (three thousand) Anambra graduates off the labour market and maintained that if every illustrious son of the state will look homeward with their investments that the state will become one of the biggest economic and financial hubs in Africa.

He added further that the Governor Chukwuma Soludo government in the state has continued to court both indigenes and foreign investors, thereby doing everything necessary to create a conducive environment for investors to come in.

“The governor is working round the clock to make Anambra State a livable, secured, smart, prosperous homeland. Part of his agenda since onset is to route these rampaging criminal bandits out of the state, which has been fruitful so far.”

“He has equally declared a state of emergency on road construction in the state and has made good his words with the recent flag off of about 206 kms of roads, so far in the first phase.

“Soludo, has a dream to transform Anambra to one of the biggest industrial and economic hubs in Nigeria and having this industrial cluster here, is an indication that it is possible,” he said.

The chief of staff was received at the company’s newly built manufacturing plant (Legacy Plant) where all preparations and installations have been completed for a takeoff.

According to Igwe Oranu Chidume, Legacy Plant will kickstart the production of non-alcoholic wines and beverages.

The next stop was the HDPE industrial plant, where the company manufactures varieties of HDPE (High-density-polyethylene) caps, both carbonated and non carbonated, plain and printed HDPE caps. The plant also produces drug dispensing cups (DDC).

His Highness, Igwe Chidume, while leading the chief of staff through the ROPP plant, ROPP (Roll-on-pilfer-proof), where caps, plain and printed ROPP caps, PVC shrink labels, pvc shrink films and baled aluminium scraps are produced, commended Governor Soludo  and the state government for some strategic roads they flagged off recently.

He appealed for positive partnership with the government for a better Anambra.

“If the government can sustain the already improved power supply, provide access roads to this industrial cluster, then improve the already achieved momentum on security, surely our output will increase drastically to make way for massive job opportunities for Ndi Anambra,” the chairman said.

The chief of staff toured three out of the seven manufacturing plants under the Krisoral Group of companies.
